# 360 Data

To ingest new gopro data:
1. Export it as a .MOV using the gopro max exporter on windows
2. Copy the .MOV files into the 'mov_large' subfolder
3. Set the GIS environment variable to either osm or the path to a GIS file.
4. Set PYTHONPATH to this folder
5. Run `python scripts/extract_buildings.py --gis $GIS`

- This is data captured from a gopro max 360
- The original `.360` files are in `GoPro360`
- The GPS telemetry info from https://goprotelemetryextractor.com/free is in `telemetry`
- The 5.6K video files (.mov) are in `mov-large`
- Scripts used to process the input are in the `scripts` folder

- 'extracted' contains all of the automatically extracted buildings
- 'gis' contains GIS building footprints and heights I have been able to collect for the cities I visited.
- 'triage' contains extracted building images that I want through and removed ones I DONT want label before sharing with annotators.
- 'GoPro360' contains the proproetary .360 formatted files used by the gopro software. These have all been converted to mov files as well in mov_large.
- 'pub' contains files I am ready to post online (maybe)
- 'panos' is symlinks to panoramas organized based on the city
- 'js' contains a javascript tool to extract telemetry from GoPro -- I use it instead of https://goprotelemetryextractor.com/free in scripts
- 'node_modules' and 'package_lock.json' are managed by npm / for javascript.
